How to Make Money Online

There are a number of strategies for making money online, with different approaches being a better fit for some people and businesses than others. For an overview to help you consider strategies for making money online that might work for you, read this article.

Selling

If you have a product that can be downloaded, like software, or shipped, like a mug, or bought at your storefront, or if you have a service that can be tendered over the web, accessed remotely by other means, or provided in person, then consider whether selling on the Internet would be a plus for your business. If it seems useful, you can set up an eCommerce site with access to features like catalog management, security, services for shopping carts and checkout, etc.

No product? Well, perhaps you can sell your opinion to a business like ReviewME (http://reviewme.com/) PayPerPost (http://payperpost.com/index.html), or SponsoredReviews (http://sponsoredreviews.com/). According to one site, one blogger earned almost $3,000 in one month from such reviews.

Advertising

Advertising is another way to make money online. You create sites—websites or blogs, for example—and sign up with a company like Google AdSense to put advertising links on your site. As your visitors click through, you get paid on a pay per click (PPC) basis. There are different types of ads available, with the three most common being:

    * Banner ads—advertisements that are a standard 468 pixels x 60 pixels and generally appear at the top or bottom of web pages.
    * pop-up ads—advertisements that display in a new browser window that steals the focus from the browser window you were looking at.
    * text-based ads—text-based ads are notable for having no images

Affiliate Networks

Joining an affiliate network can be beneficial for you—because you gain income when they click through and purchase products—but also for your customers, whom you are providing with opportunities to learn about and purchase products that are likely to be of interest. You can affiliate with just one merchant or more than one.

Two of the affiliate networks you might wish to check first are LinkShare (http://www.linkshare.com) and Commission Junction (http://www.cj.com). Both have some major players as clients.

Domain Parking

Another way to make money online involves registering domain names and then parking it and allowing advertising to appear on the page. The pay-per-click ads provide you with income for which you don't have to do anything.

Donations

It's now become typical for bloggers and social networking pages to provide visitors with opportunities to make donations to the site owner. Sometimes this is clearly linked to a service being provided.

For example, a blogger has a site which s/he has attempted to monetize in a number of ways. Perhaps s/he provides useful information of some kind in his or her postings, has affiliated with makers of closely linked products, has AdSense ads that connect to his or her topic and wants a way to invite support from people who aren't into advertising links. The opportunity provided by a donation plug-in, perhaps one with a PayPal link, and an invitation to donate might just work. Both Blogger and WordPress have donation plug-ins available.

News Coverage

If you're more into information than straight advertising, you might be interested in Voxant Newsroom (http://thenewsroom.com), which provides an alternative approach to monetizing your website. What Voxant offers is a chance to add news content to your site as text, images, and video. Each type of information has an accompanying advertisement and you get credit for views/clicks as appropriate. The content sponsors include respected media outlets, like AP, the BBC, the Wall Street Journal, and Reuters. Other participants include MTV and CBS, as well as the National Basketball Association (NBA) and National Hockey League (NHL).

Break.com
| Metacafe.com | DareJunkies.com | Blip.tv | Revver.com | Flixya.com | Atomfilms.com + Addictingclips.com | Shopwiki.com (create reviews and get paid 50$/review) | and some more
12. Domain Parking: The idea behind domain parking is the following; 1)you simply register some domain, usually a misspelling of something popular (ex; yoitube.com instead of youtube.com or dominoespizza.com instead of dominospizza.com), 2)add relevant ads to them and 3)earn money as visitors click on them. It’s a gold mine once you get familiar with it, a friend of mine used to make around $2000/month from it. Read more on it here
13. Affiliate Programs: What you do here is promote someone’s product and earn money from each sale/referral you make. It’s much easier when you have own website but you still can do quite well even without one. It really works! I used to do it myself. I would find affiliate program on cj.com and afterwards advertise it either on Yahoo or Google. In the end, my costs were considerably lower then my commissions. It’s way harder than domain parking but also has higher potential. More on affiliate programs here.

How to Start a Small Business, Identify Business Opportunities and Start a Home Business with very Little Money

What Are Some Tips on How to Start a Business?

No matter how simple of a business one may want to run, starting one is almost never an easy process. Hurdles to success will nearly always exist, and coming up with a plan to deal with them is one of the first steps in learning how to start a business. The other steps depend largely on the type of business, but there are some general guidelines to follow, including dealing with financial matters, organizing a business plan, and state registration.

First, consider keeping personal accounts and business accounts separate. This is highly recommended for anyone looking at how to start a business, even for those interested in a sole proprietorship. To do this, it is always best to register a fictitious name, better known as a business name, with the state or regional authorities. In the US (or your country), the Office of the Secretary of State, or similar office in your state, will handle such registrations for a small fee.

Those looking at how to start a business in their home country should also consider whether they want to incorporate or start a limited liability partnership (LLP). An LLP offers some protections that other types of business types do not. If the business should falter, a individual's personal assets will not be at risk for liquidation. Though the time and effort required to start one of these types of businesses is greater, it will reduce personal risk.

The details of how to start a business that falls under one of these limited liability categories will vary by state. Check with the state office that handles name registrations for information on these other options as well. Also, remember that name registration is not the same as incorporation.

After the name has been registered and the bank account has been set up, the next step is finding some start-up cash. This is often called seed money because, if it is looked after properly, hopefully it will grow. Those who have enough in personal savings may be able to finance the start-up operation entirely on their own. Others will likely need to consider fund-raising in some capacity.

Seeking loans or issuing public shares are common options for raising additional capital. When seeking these loans or when looking for investors, it is good to come up with a business plan. This is one of the first things the bank and investor will consider when determining whether a client truly knows how to start a business. The business plan should include a market analysis, local or otherwise, along with competitors and goals. An analysis of any financial information, and what is planned for the future, are also important, as is including a marketing strategy.

How Do I Learn How to Start a Small Business?

Starting a small business that fills a need can be a good idea even in times of economic recession. However, knowing how to start a small business the right way is important. If you're interested in starting your own business, collecting relevant information from many different sources can help you learn how to start a small business.

A good place to begin is at federal government websites created for people in a country who are interested in starting a small business. These types of websites are often extremely helpful as they usually include both necessary information on how to start a small business and links to licensing regulations and other legal information all in one place. For example, for those in the United States, the American government website business.gov has a comprehensive selection of learning materials and information about starting a small business. The site lists the steps needed to become a small business owner and organizes information about licenses and laws by state. Many countries have government website information available about how to start a small business in that particular country.

Disabled people and minorities who want to start a new business may be eligible for grants and/or participation in learning programs about starting a small business and these opportunities are often listed on government websites. Some banks and corporations sponsor free workshops for everyone on how to start a small business. For instance, the Bank of America's Small Business Resource Center website features online workshops that cover how to find your target customer, how to create a business plan, how to price and market your product or service and how to analyze your competition. Understanding competitors is an important consideration when starting a small business, since a new business in the same field must have a unique selling proposition (USP) that sets it apart and appeals to a target audience that will buy its products or services.

Many colleges and universities have courses that teach people how to start a small business. These classes can provide a lot of feedback on your small business idea as you can connect with instructors as well as other aspiring small business owners. Job clubs and business networking organizations in your community can also provide good information about starting a small business. Libraries and book stores have many books written especially for new entrepreneurs who want to know how to start a small business and run it successfully.

What Should I Consider Before I Start a Business?

Before a person can start a business, there are several important steps to follow. First, the entrepreneur must be prepared to work long and erratic hours. Twelve hour work days for six or seven days per week is common in the first few months of launching a new business. The business owner must also be driven and self-motivated in order to start a business. A person who needs direction at all times should not start a business because an entrepreneur must be able to work independently and make decisions quickly.

A substantial portion of a business owner's day is usually spent making contacts and attracting clients. If sales and public relations are not something the business owner enjoys, he or she will need to partner with someone who excels in this area in order to successfully start a business. The entrepreneur also needs to be sure there is a market for the goods or services offered by the business. Opening a bakery in a small town that already has four bakeries may not be a good idea because the market is saturated. Similarly, opening an arcade in a community composed primarily of senior citizens may not be a good idea because such a business does not fulfill a need in that area.

Financial backing is also necessary to start a business. When seeking financial backing, be aware that banks and other financial institutions often want proof the business owner has his or her own reserve capital to invest in the business. The financial institution will also request a business plan, which often must include a rationale as to why one's particular business is needed in the area. Financial institutions impose these requirements because they demonstrate the entrepreneur's commitment to the business and help the institution determine whether the loan they will provide is a solid investment.

Often, it is necessary to rent or buy space in order to start a business. Generally, renting is a better option when first starting a business because it does not require as much of a financial commitment as buying. Since there is no guarantee the business will thrive, purchasing a building can cause financial hardships if the building needs to be sold later.

It is also essential for the entrepreneur to check state requirements for licenses and permits needed to start a business. Daycares, restaurants, bakeries, plumbers, and electricians, for example, all require special licenses. Individual towns often require additional permits in order to install signs on a property. Any improvements made to the building space also require building permits before construction can begin.

What Home Businesses Can I Start with Very Little Money?

Forget get-rich-quick schemes. There are a lot of real opportunities for people who want to start a home business. No matter if you are looking for an additional income or are thinking about starting a home business as your fulltime income, there are many ventures that can be started with little to no money down.

If you have a knack for selling, you can start a home business selling face-to-face, retail, wholesale, and through home parties. Direct sales have come a long way from the Tupperware® parties of the past. You can now start a home business selling anything from educational toys and cookware to lingerie and scented candles. To get started, you will need to invest on a starter kit, which usually runs under $100 US Dollars (USD) and include sample products and catalogs. Selling discount healthcare plans is another home business that can be started for next to nothing. Discount benefit plans are aimed to people without insurance and cover medical, dental, and prescriptions. A basic broker/starter kit gets you started as a seller and gives you the opportunity of enlisting other sellers and earning additional commissions.

Selling on eBay has become a very popular home business for people who have little to no money to get started. Since you can basically sell anything you have in your closet or garage that you not longer want, the only investment eBay requires is that of time. Eventually, you can start visiting yard sales or thrift stores to pick up additional items such as second-hand designer clothes, toys, and baby items. If you have a hobby that you would like to turn into a home business, eBay is also a great way to get you started. Many people sell their own crafts online as well as in flea markets, country fairs, and on consignment through local shops.

If you know a foreign language, can play an instrument, or are qualified in an academic subject such as math, you can start a tutoring home business. This is one home business you can start with no money down, since all it's required is a table and a time investment. You can also offer your teaching expertise to local community centers, Learning Annex, or retirement homes for a small flat fee.

When you are looking for a home business you can start for little or no money, look to your life, your hobbies, and your interests, and then think how you can turn that into a profitable side income.

How Do I Identify Business Opportunities?

With so many business opportunities available, it is often difficult to determine whether a particular opportunity shows great promise or is likely to fail. Your goal is to learn how to tell a good opportunity from a bad one. Here are some tips that will help you assess the potential of any business opportunity that comes your way and make the right decision.

One of the first factors to consider is the stability of the company associated with the opportunity. In the case of a new business that does not yet have a proven track record, you want to know who is behind the launch or who is supplying this company with operating capital until the business begins to generate profits. Essentially, you want some amount of assurance that the company will be around long enough for you to benefit from a relationship with the opportunity, especially in terms of recouping any investment of time or other resources.

Keep in mind that a new business or a plan to start a business may be riskier than going with a company with an established track record. However, business opportunities of this kind are not automatically suspect. If the funding is there and the organization is structured properly, the opportunity is well worth your consideration.

Assessing the good or service offered by the business is also important. The best business opportunities involve companies that offer something consumers will need or desire over all other competing products. It is not a problem if the product is aimed at a niche market. Business opportunities of this type are often great moneymakers, since they address needs that are often overlooked by others. In addition, the competition is probably less fierce in a niche market, a situation that will allow the company you are evaluating to establish itself as the industry standard in that market.

Along with having a solid financial base and a product that is sure to attract attention, the best business opportunities also have a comprehensive and well defined system for getting the products to consumers. This includes such factors as a reliable process for producing the good or service, excellent sales and marketing strategies, and an efficient delivery to the buyer. Without the ability to satisfy orders quickly and efficiently, even the best product is less likely to build a loyal client base.

The return you will receive is also very important when considering different business opportunities. Will you earn an equitable return in comparison to what you invest in the business in terms of time and other resources? If so, then there is a good chance the opportunity is worth pursuing. If you are not sure, keeping looking for something better.

You will find that in today’s market, it is worth your time to consider a home-based business as well as a more traditional business setting. Business opportunities of this type often start with business ideas that are new and fresh in terms of approach or some aspect of the products offered. If you see merit in a given business idea and think it has a good chance of succeeding, then look it over carefully. That home based business may be the ideal investment vehicle for you.

Ways to Save and Make Money

Once you're fired up about investing, dreaming of all the money you can make, you may suddenly realize something: You need money to invest!

There are two main ways to gather that moolah:

* Make more money.
* Save more money.

Here are a bunch of ideas that can help you do both.
Making Money

The most common way that most young people get money is through an allowance. Not every teen gets one, of course, and your parents' beliefs or financial situation might mean you get little or nothing. According to various surveys, the average allowance for teens is anywhere from $20 to $50 per week. If yours is a lot lower, perhaps try negotiating a raise. Here are some more ways to get money:

* From your family. Your parents might pay you for getting good grades in school, or for reading a certain number of books, or for doing various jobs around the house. You might even earn some money from siblings, if you offer to do some of their chores.
* Selling things. If your closet or basement is full of belongings that you no longer need or want, consider selling them. (These might include toys, games, comics, and clothes. Don't get rid of things you have a strong attachment to, though, such as your old Furby or your Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles lunchbox.) You could hold a yard sale in your neighborhood. You might even offer to sell other people's knickknacks, for a small fee or a percentage of the price. Another option is selling items online, such as on eBay.
* A job! This is perhaps the most obvious way to earn money, and teens frequently land part-time or full-time summer jobs.

Jobs for Teens

Believe it or not, there are many, many jobs you can find or create. You have more choices than just working at McDonald's or babysitting. Here are lots of ideas, a few of which might appeal to you.

* Pet-sitting. When someone in your neighborhood goes on vacation, there's often a pet that needs looking after. Also, with people working longer and longer hours these days, some will pay you to visit their pets during the day and take them for a walk.
* Working for your parents. If mom or dad owns a business, they might be able to use your help. Even if they work for a company, they may be able to hook you up with a part-time job there. (Check with your parents' friends, too.)
* Tutoring. Some teens report that they earn anywhere from $5 to $20 per hour tutoring. If you're good at a subject, you may be able to earn money by helping others to understand it.
* Lifeguard. In some parts of the country, there are shortages of lifeguards. Some have been earning $10 per hour or more. If you have the skills needed, consider this option.
* Camps. If you look into it early enough, you can line up a job at a summer camp -- you might work with kids, tend the grounds, prepare food, or do any of a number of things.
* Jobs matching your interests. If you enjoy working with young children, see if any daycare centers near you need help. If you like the great outdoors, check with your local parks department. If you like movies or recreation, look into movie theaters or amusement parks.
* Mowing lawns, raking yards, shoveling snow, gardening. These can all be part of the same job. Once your customers know you and the good work you do, they may use your services doing other jobs in other seasons.
* Department stores. A big perk with these jobs is that you often get to enjoy employee discounts (which can be substantial, often 20-30% off) and commissions on items you sell.
* Create websites. If you know enough about computers to create well-designed websites, you can make some good money. Many small companies and organizations pay thousands of dollars to have websites built for them. You might charge very little at first, but once you have a few impressive websites to show potential customers, you can hike your rates. Some small companies might also pay you to help maintain their sites, adding content, and solving problems that arise.
* Be crafty. If you enjoy arts and crafts, you might make jewelry or other items and sell them -- perhaps on eBay, where you'll have instant access to a large customer base. Some painters and photographers are making money selling their work online, too, although that can be harder to do.
* Serve the elderly. Not only might you find work in a nursing home or retirement community, but you might also serve older people in your neighborhood. Many older people can't get around much. They may welcome your services delivering groceries, running errands, or doing odd jobs around their home.
* Be a computer guru. Many people buy computers and have a lot of trouble setting them up and trying to use them. Even if you have an intermediate familiarity with computers, you might offer your services as a local computer consultant. You can set things up, solve problems, answer questions, teach programs, and show people how to send and organize email, upload digital photos, buy something on Amazon.com, use Instant Messaging, and conduct online searches (with Google or other search engines).
* Caddy at a golf course. This not only helps you learn more about a sport you might enjoy, it also gives you the chance meet a lot of adults from whom you might learn more about the business world. They could be turn out to be valuable connections that help you land other jobs.
* Delivering newspapers. If you sign up to deliver a lot (which may be more possible in areas with apartment buildings), you can make a good bit of money. Some teens make $100 or $200 per week or more.
* Use your skills. Think about what you're good at and try to teach others -- adults or children. You might offer piano lessons, horseback riding lessons, or Spanish lessons. Maybe you can juggle and entertain at children's birthday parties. If you play an instrument, perhaps you could play at weddings or other events. If you write, you could try to sell articles to magazines or newspapers.
* Volunteer! If all else fails, or even as a first choice, consider volunteering. Don't just do the first thing that pops into your mind, though. Be a strategic volunteer. Think of a field or company you'd like to learn more about. If you're really concerned about hunger in the world, volunteer at a food bank. If you're thinking about becoming a doctor (perhaps one who treats the elderly), consider volunteering at a hospital (or a nursing home).

Once You've Made Some Money, Save Some!

How much should you save? You actually may be able to save 100% of your money. Does that mean you should? Not at all. The best way to develop good saving habits is to make saving a regular part of your life, along with spending.

Here's a few ways you can save:

* Save before spending. Whenever some money gets into your hands, from a job or your allowance or whatever, take your savings out immediately, before spending any of the money. The beauty of this system is that once you've removed your savings, you're free to spend the rest.
* Negotiate with your parents. This may or may not work for you, but it's worth a shot. See if they'll "match" your savings, in order to encourage good saving habits. If they match your savings dollar-for-dollar, for example, that would mean that for every $25 you plunk into savings, they'd plunk an additional $25.
* Consider the "opportunity cost" of purchases. Opportunity cost is an economic term that applies to many parts of our lives. It essentially refers to the cost of giving up one alternative in order to act on another. Imagine that you can either buy concert tickets for $50 or you can invest the money. If you invest for 10 years, and your investment grows by an average of 11% per year, your original $50 will become $142. So your decision can be framed like this: "Would I rather have these tickets now, or $142 in 10 years?" If you're thinking of buying a pair of shoes for $75, consider whether it's worth the opportunity cost of $600 in 20 years. Perhaps it is. If so, then by all means, buy the shoes.

Tips from Teens on Saving

Here are some more suggestions on how to successfully get into the saving habit, from a bunch of teens and a few folks fresh out of teenhood.

Ben Sheppard, 18: Don't carry any cash, if possible.

Clayton Smalley, 16: I used to be weak when it came to money. I couldn't go into a store without buying something. I'm glad I'm not that person now. I taught myself discipline by keeping a $20 bill in my pocket, walking around the mall all day and not buying anything. Now I don't have any urge to buy stuff when I go into a store. It worked for me.

Tacy Holliday, 19: When you buy something, only use dollar bills. If you buy a magazine for $3.25 and you pay for it with a $5 bill, you'll get back $1.25 in change. Put the dollar back into your purse (or pocket) and keep the 75 cents separate. Only spend the bills, not the coins. Put all the coins in a jar for savings. That way you'll always be saving a little.

Daniel Carroll, 16: I have a little bank that I put spare change and bills into. Whenever I have a significant amount in there, I'll invest it or put it in the bank. It's important to keep a routine. Every time I get money, I put some away.

Donald Hoang, 14: I deposit my money into a bank instead of my wallet, so the money is not there. and I have to take an extra step to get to it.

Jason Hart, 18: Take only what you really need for spending, and put the rest of it somewhere that's difficult to get to, such as long-term CDs or money market accounts. Making it inconvenient to get to your money might help you avoid the urge to spend it all. Also, decide exactly what percentage you will spend and what you will save, and follow your own rules.

Robert Morgan III, 17: Carry very little money at all times. You can't spend money if you don't have it. A candy bar would be nice, but without a dollar, you can't get it. Little things like that really add up quickly. I like to see the number of shares of stock I own going up, too. That's a great motivator.

Deborah Sperling, 14: When considering a major purchase, wait a week or so, at minimum. This will help you make sure you still want the item, and, as an added bonus, the price might go down.

Adam Kaufman, 15: Start with small amounts. When I first started saving to invest, I was saving $1 to $2 each day, so by the end of the month, I had $30 to $60, depending on what kind of month it was.

Jason Ramage, 20: I take advantage of automatic withdrawal from my bank account into my investment account, so that I'm always investing, and I'm forced to make do with a slightly tighter budget.

These ideas should help you get started.

How you can make money on FOREX without experience? Tip #2

Whilst acquiring the advice of FOREX brokers is always helpful, for those of you interested in speculating in the market, you can now do so.

Using a FOREX robot, you can automatically trade using the same secret trading strategies offered by professional FOREX traders. With this software on hand you can sit back, watch and learn. Whilst of course FOREX offers no guaranteed income, as a novice using these FOREX robots, they CAN help you to generate profits from your currency exchanges.
Is it really that simple?

Like everything in this world, there are 2 ways in which you can approach FOREX and make a profit from your transactions: fundamental analysis and technical analysis.

Fundamental Analysis: Like a broker, fundamental analysis examines the current situation in the currency’s country of origin. Economy, politics, Central Banks interest rate, national unemployment level, tax policies and inflation… each of these elements can inform an investor’s decision.

Once you have this information it can be used to make market predictions and anticipate any other future problems.

Technical Analysis: Used by most small and medium sized investors, Technical Analysis stems from the assumption that all factors which can influence the future of currency fluctuations have already been considered.

In other words, investors work on the basis that the movement of the market considers all factors; that price movements are purposeful and that history repeats itself. With this understanding, they look at the highest and lowest prices of a currency (when they are open and closed), consider the volume of transactions and base their investment choices on what has happened to the currency in the recent past.

Why choose FOREX to Make Money?

FOREX is potentially one of the most rewarding investments currently available.

As with all investments, making money with currency trading does come with its own risks, but the profits you can accumulate whilst using this system can be enormous when you compare it to your initial investment.

Take this scenario for example. You buy the Pound with a 1% margin at the price of 1.49889. Over time you watch it rise against the Dollar and you decide to sell. If, for example, you closed the position at 1.505, you could earn $405 (61 pips), giving you a profit of 40% on top of your $1,000 investment.

Then of course there is the benefit of that due to FOREX’s size, no one can influence the market for their own financial gain. Instead all investors can experience the satisfaction of having equal opportunities to make money through the market exchange.

So what are you waiting for?

How to Get Started in Import Export Business

So how can one get involved in import export business?

One: You can start an import export business using your own money

Most people think of getting involved buying product overseas with their own money, on their own account. This is the most logical and preferred way for most. Buy a product, pay for it, take title to the goods, import your purchases into the country you want to sell them in, sell them, and do it all over again.

Two: Import export agent - putting buyers and sellers together

If you are familiar with a particular country, especially if you have been there numerous times and may already know what is manufactured there and where to find suppliers of those products, you can offer your knowledge to others. If for example you have been to Thailand many times, may had lived there before, and know the Thai product, you can approach a retail store buyer in the United States, in the city where you live or elsewhere, and offer to be his buyer, especially if he carries products from Thailand. In this case the US-based retailer may hire you to place an order on a product he sells from Thailand. You will order the product in Thailand, put the shipment together, pay for the product not with your money but with his money, and ship the good to his store in the United States, with his store's name as the consignee on the shipping documents. For your services the US-base retailer-importer will pay you agreed upon commission. The amount of the commission is negotiable, not a fixed percentage. The amount may depend on the amount of your time you'll put into putting the shipment together, your overhead associated with the export side of the process, expenses you will incur at the country of origin, needing to travel back and forth to the manufacturer's factory or dealing with the export shipping company. The retailer will be the importer, he will pay not only for the goods but for the cost of preparation of the export documents, packing and actual international freight from country of origin, Thailand, to destination, wherever may be his store or warehouse. Your commission may be a percentage of the total invoice value or a negotiated amount between the two of you. Under this scenario you are using other people's money but your expertise. You can get started tomorrow. Obviously if you have never been to Thailand you may not want to offer your services as import export agent of Thai products.

There are two basic variants of this involvement. One described above where your commission is paid by the importer on whose behalf you have worked. Similarly, however, while you are in Thailand, a Thai manufacturer may offer you a sample of his product to introduce to prospective buyers in the United States. In this case you may return from your last trip to Thailand as Manufacturer's Representative - perhaps not with an exclusive contract to represent his products in the United States but with the understanding that should you find buyer for his product who may want to place an order, he, the Thai-based manufacturer will pay you an agreed upon commission on the shipment.

From these two examples it is clear that you can work with other people's money, not just your own, putting buyers and sellers together where commissions may be paid to you by either or both of the parties, the buyer as well as the seller and the method constitutes the easiest way to get started in import export business.

Three: Import Export Sourcing Agent

You can work as an independent import export sourcing contractor, an involvement in import export business that is very much in the same category as described above, but with more responsibilities in the entire import export process. Say for example a clothing store in the United States will hire you to find a manufacturer in Bali, Indonesia that could manufacture garments based on their product design specifications. Armed with drawings of product given to you by the retailer you'd source more than one prospective manufacturer in Bali to prepare samples of product to be eventually ordered by the retailer in quantity. Each manufacturer would prepare the sample as well as a quote sheet showing quantity discounts and delivery time. The retailer would select one of the suppliers you had sourced based on product quality, price and delivery time, and then ask you to award the contract to that supplier. You would then have to oversee production, quality control, preparation of documents and pay for the goods with the retailer's money, not you with yours, who would become the actual importer and consignee on the shipping documents. As above, you would get paid by the retailer-importer on commission basis, plus expenses as well as possibly be kept on a retainer to be available next time.

Four: Export Shipment Broker

Last is an example that is based once again on using other people's money to put buyers and sellers together. In this example a manufacturer in Thailand is offering a container load of a product, for example toys. The shipment is ready to be shipped, and must be bought as is, whatever the qualities of each item style inside. The shipment may be assorted, and it may contain some attractive products but also some less marginal ones, perhaps even seconds, or discontinued products. The manufacturer-exporter is looking for a buyer. You are an agent that knows who may be interested, who are the buyers for these type of products. It could be a store in Miami, Florida or in Berlin, Germany, or in any other country that you know buyers in for this type of product. You provide samples from the seller-exporter to the buyer-importer. If the buyer agrees to buy the container at the agreed upon price, you may handle the whole sale transaction on what could be a back-to-back letter of credit using your bank in Denver, or wherever you are located. The buyer in Berlin pays you by a L/C in the amount of $40,000 and once the funds clear your bank, your bank cuts an L/C in the amount of $30,000 to the seller's bank in Thailand and you pocket the difference less bank expenses. The container goes from Thailand to Berlin, Germany, not via the United States - you never take title to the goods. You only connect the seller with the buyer and broker the deal. Needless to say the export shipment can be brokered by countless number of other brokers who will come across the export offer by the manufacture-exporter located in Thailand.

7 Money Mistakes We Make Every Day

For all the financial advice we find in books, magazines, and online, we still make a lot of mistakes when it comes to money. Some of these mistakes might not cost us much, but others can cost us a small fortune. And even the small mistakes, multiplied over a lifetime, can add up to a princely sum.
In the hope that we can make better financial decisions, here is a list of some of the common money mistakes many of us make every day:
1. Buying expensive mutual funds: Do you know how much you pay for the mutual funds in your retirement account? If you don't know, you're not alone. Mutual fund companies don't send out monthly or quarterly bills. Instead, they quietly deduct their fees from the returns on your investments. These fees, quoted as an expense ratio (a 1 percent fee means you are paying 1 percent of your account balance in fees each year), add up to thousands of dollars over a lifetime of investing. To see just how much you are paying, use a free service such as Morningstar.com to track the actual expense of your mutual funds and ETFs. You can track your portfolio for free on Morningstar, including the total cost of your investments.

2. Neglecting credit scores: Credit scores have a major impact on our financial lives. An excellent credit score results in lower interest rates on mortgages, car loans, and credit cards. It also results in lower insurance premiums. But many do not know their credit score or how their financial decisions shape their score. The first step is to regularly review your credit report, which is available for free from annualcreditreport.com. You can get your report from each of the three major credit bureaus for free once a year. Checking each report for errors can not only improve your credit score, but also help guard against identity theft. While your report will not include your credit score, there are several options to obtain your credit score for free or at a low cost.
3. Equating monthly payments with affordability: Far too many of us decide whether we can afford something based on whether we can manage the monthly payment. This is particularly true for homes, cars, and furniture. But just because we can handle a payment does not mean we can truly afford something. Monthly payments also ignore the true cost of ownership. A car, for example, costs a lot more than the monthly payment when you consider insurance, gas, repairs and maintenance. Instead of focusing on the monthly payment, separate needs from wants and evaluate how you might better use the money. If you still have consumer debt, for example, consider paying the debt off before buying something that will commit you to future monthly payments for potentially years to come.
4. Overpaying on a mortgage: Reducing a mortgage by even 1 percent can result in substantial savings. Whether because of falling mortgage rates, which are at historic lows, or an improved credit score, many may be able to save thousands of dollars over the life of their home loan by refinancing. Yet for various reasons, many have not taken advantage of falling rates. Even if you have a low rate now, check current mortgage rates to see if you can do better. In some cases, a savings of just 1% or less can justify the cost of refinancing.
5. Missing good deals online: Thanks to the Internet, you can find deals, coupons and promo codes on just about anything. And many retailers offer additional discounts if you buy online. From cell phones to home improvement, the savings can be substantial, and shopping online is often far more convenient than driving around town and waiting in lines. The problem is that we often make purchases completely unaware that these deals exist. To find these deals, search online for coupons before you make significant purchases and bookmark coupon sites such as Retailmenot.com and Fatwallet.com, which regularly update the latest offers from popular retailers.
6. Overpaying taxes: A big tax refund can be a source of much needed cash each year. But a tax refund is the result of having too much tax withheld from your paycheck, which gives the government an interest free loan with your money. Instead of letting the government hold on to your money for up to a year, adjust your withholdings so you can pocket your money now. The goal should be to match your withholdings as close as possible to your tax liability.

7. Making minimum payments on credit cards: Even low interest credit cards charge a high interest rate. As a result, making the minimum payment on credit card debt will add a lot of interest to your total payments over the life of that debt. Making just the minimum payment also extends the time it takes to pay of the debt by many years. Rather than making just the minimum payment, commit to paying more than the minimum, even if by just a few dollars. Allocate some or all of your next raise to your credit card payments, and reexamine your budget in an effort to increase the payment as much as possible.

Marketing

Marketing is the process by which companies determine what products or services may be of interest to customers, and the strategy to use in sales, communications and business development.[1]  It is an integrated process through which companies create value for customers and build strong customer relationships in order to capture value from customers in return.[1]

Marketing is used to identify the customer, to keep the customer, and to satisfy the customer. With the customer as the focus of its activities, it can be concluded that marketing management is one of the major components of business management. The evolution of marketing was caused due to mature markets and overcapacities in the last 2-3 centuries.[citation needed] Companies then shifted the focus from production to the customer in order to stay profitable.[citation needed]

The term marketing concept holds that achieving organizational goals depends on knowing the needs and wants of target markets and delivering the desired satisfactions.[2] It proposes that in order to satisfy its organizational objectives, an organization should anticipate the needs and wants of consumers and satisfy these more effectively than competitors.[2]

How to Make Money Blogging

How to Make Money Blogging

In this page I want to share some information for beginners on how to make money blogging.
First – let me start by sharing my own top Money Making Methods (updated regularly) but below that point you to some great resources and teaching on how to increase your income from blogging.

What follows is a quick summary of my main income streams from blogging. Before you read it though – keep in mind that every blog is unique in how it can make money. Some of the following income streams will work on some blogs a lot better than others – the key is to experiment with as many as possible and see what works best for you.

The following income streams (from a number of blogs) have helped me to earn a six figure income each year for the last 5 years from blogging. I’ve ranked them from highest to lowest.
I hope you find it useful to see the mix and variety of ways that I earn a living from blogging.

1. AdSense

Despite not using it here at ProBlogger any more (here’s why) I continue to use AdSense with amazing effect on my other blogs. I have them all set to show image and text based ads and find that 250×300 pixel ads work best (usually with a blended design). I don’t have much luck with their ‘referrals’ program but their normal ads work a treat and continue to be the biggest earner for me.

2. Affiliate Programs

I run a variety of affiliate programs on my blogs – most of which bring in smaller amounts of money that don’t really justify a category of their own (but which certainly add up).
These include recommending quality products like these here on ProBlogger: Thesis WordPress theme, Yaro’s Blog Mastermind Coaching Program and How to Launch the F*** out of your E-Book (and others) as well as some great products on my photography blog including 123 of Digital Imaging, David DuChemin’s amazing Photography E-Books and Mitchell Kanashkevich’s great ebooks.
The great thing about many of these programs is that they are of such high quality that they sell themselves and I am being emailed from readers who sign up to them thanking me for the recommendation!

3. E-Book Sales

Last time I did a wrap up of how I make money blogging this category did not exist for me – I didn’t really have any of my own products to sell at all. However in the last year or so I’ve released 3 E-books – 31 Days to Build a Better Blog, The Essential Guide to Portrait Photography and Photo Nuts and Bolts: Know Your Camera and Take Better Photos. While these products all only sell for under $20 they certainly add up and some months this has been my biggest category of income. The reason they were only ranking at #3 in the last month was that I didn’t do a product launch (I wrote about one launch which brought in $72,000 in a week here). This is an income stream I see growing as I add more E-books to my range (expect 3 in the coming few months).

4. Continuity Programs

This is another newer category for me but one that continues to grow.
A continuity program is a site where you earn a recurring income from people who subscribe to a service you offer.
For me this includes two sites – ProBlogger.com and Third Tribe Marketing. Both programs are membership sites and generate monthly income from the thousands of members that they have as a part of them.

5. Private Ad Sales/Sponsorships

Private ad sales directly to advertisers have fallen for me in the last year (they previously ranked #3 on this list). This is partly due to a change in my own focus but also partly due to the economy as it is. I should note that this area does vary a little from month to month depending upon the campaigns we’re asked to run – we’ve had a couple of months where it actually ranked #2 in the last year.
This includes ad sales of the 125 x 125 ads here at ProBlogger as well as a campaign or two at Digital Photography School.

6. Chitika

Chitka continues to be a great performer for me on my blogs. They traditionally have worked best on product related blogs although their Premium ad units now convert well on a larger range of blogs.
While I’ve focused a little less on Chitika in the last 6 months (mainly as I’ve released my own products and moved a little away from advertising) they do continue to perform well where I use them and over the time I’ve been using Chitika they’ve now earned me over a quarter of a million dollars – as a result I can’t recommend them enough!

7. Amazon Associates

Amazon’s affiliate program has been one of my big movers in the last 12 months. I used to make a few odd dollars from it – however in recent times it has become a significant earner for me (in fact it’s now earned me over $100,000 since I started using it). Christmas time (and the lead up to it) is a particularly good time for Amazon – last December it would have ranked #2 on this list.

8. ProBlogger Job Boards

The job boards here at ProBlogger continue to grow each month in the number of advertisements that are being bought. This enabled me to invest most of the money that they’d earned a while back into getting a new back end for the boards and to redesign them. These job boards now bring in over $1000 a month in revenue which is pretty nice considering that they are so low maintenance to run. They also offer a service to readers and add value to the overall blog.
The only problem that I face with the job boards is that there are so many bloggers looking for work that the demand for jobs far exceeds the supply. On the good side of things is that advertisers are reporting getting amazing quality of applications.

9. Speaking Fees

I get asked to do a lot of speaking and increasingly they are paid opportunities. I’m not able to do as many as I would like (mainly because I live in Australia and most of what I’m asked to do is overseas and I only travel 2-3 times a year) – however in April I did a couple of events and the income was enough to include in this list.

Other Income

In addition to all of the above there are many smaller incomes. Many of these are from smaller advertising programs that I test but none are big enough to really rate a mention here.
The other income stream that there was no actual money from in April was book royalties from the ProBlogger Book. These are only paid every 6 or so months (not in April). It’s probably also worth mentioning that authors don’t tend to make a whole lot of money on book royalties – you don’t write books to get rich (unless you sell a lot of them).

Useful Resources for Bloggers Wanting to Make Money Blogging

A lot has been written on the topic of making money online from blogs. There is a lot of wonderful information out there – but also a lot of hype and sometimes dangerous information.
Below are a number of articles that I’ve written exploring some of the different ways that bloggers make money.

Start Earning Tons of Money Online Today Using These Online Business Ideas

It seems that everyone is looking to earn more money. We can't make it quickly enough. And it seems we can't make enough, either. However, with the Internet available in almost every home, online business ideas are really great ways to jump into the money-making pool! This article will not only give you some specific online business ideas, but also will offer you some tips on how to develop some ideas of your own.

First, let's talk about some ideas for your online business. Millions of people have made tons of money online, so why shouldn't you? Are you stumped for some online business ideas? Well, here are a few suggestions. First, you can simply sell something. Do you make quilts? Are you able to carve wood? Find an item that you can provide at a low cost to yourself, find a cheap (or better yet) free website host, and advertise your product. Second, write a book to sell. Whether you have it published as a real book or if you write in "e-book" style, choose an area of interest to you and write about it.

Another great idea is to offer a service. Web designers, accountants, consultants, and many other service occupations are in high demand. By basing your business online, you can advertise to enormous groups of people for little cost. Get involved with a direct sales company. They will often offer start-up as well as ongoing support.

Finally, one more specific online business idea: eBay. Whether you clean out your attic or prowl through yard sales, you can find something that someone will be looking for on eBay. If you don't want to do that long term, it is an easy way to make some start up money for the online business you really want to do.

Now, here are some tips that will hopefully help you come up with the perfect online business idea for you and your needs. Listen to what people in your life are saying. Do you often hear the same think over and over? They wish there was a way that they could hire someone to make (fill in the blank) this easier. They are frustrated with their current service or desire a product at a lesser price. Listen to people. Find out what they need and fill the ones that you can. Do a little research. What need is now on the Internet that doesn't seem to be taken care of? Could you fill that spot? Talk to your friends. They may not only have ideas, but may be interested in going into business with you, too. No matter how you come up with your online business idea, just do it. Dream, imagine, and then take action. You can start selling something right now and be making money almost immediately!

Make Money Online

Make Money Online

This page features a host of online destinations where I’ve found you can make money (online).  Some are fairly passive, others require some effort, and the amount of money to be made varies widely (from pennies all the way up to thousands of dollars).  Check back often, as this page will be updated on a regular basis.

Ratings: Each passive income source will be rated on a 5 point scale – A higher number means that I believe it to be a better source of passive income and/or it has the potential to generate a decent amount of money.

True Passive Income

Truly passive income is difficult to come by without putting your money at risk, so it’s no surprise that there aren’t a lot of options here.

Lending Club

Lending Club is a website that allows large groups of people to fund loans for other individuals, while receiving a relatively high rate of interest.  You can invest in someone’s loan for as little as $25 and earn interest rates up to 18-20% (average is 9-10%).  I’ve been using Lending Club for over a year now, and I love it.  You can get $25 free if you sign up with my link – there’s no deposit necessary, so you can try it risk-free.  Rating: 4.0/5.0

Semi-Passive Income
It would be a lie to call the places listed below true sources of passive income.  They all require some up-front work, but it varies.  Ultimately, money can be earned while you sleep.

MyLikes
If you’re a heavy Twitter user, you might be interested in MyLikes.  Essentially, you make money by tweeting ads.  The goal is to tweet about things you actually like, so it doesn’t appear to be spam. Rating: 2.0/5.0

Squidoo
Currently, I’m experimenting with Squidoo, an online article platform where users can write articles and make money from them.  You can follow along as I play around with Squidoo to determine if it’s a worthwhile source of passive income.  As I learn more about it, I will update this blurb.  Tentative Rating: 3.5/5.0
Not Really Passive Income At All

These websites allow you to make money online, however they don’t really offer any passive income potential.  I’m listing them here in order to provide a more complete listing of ways to make money online.

Forex trading is a $2.5 trillion a day industry. Any other market like stock trading has much less volume, restricted hours of business and numerous factors to deal with. As against stock trading, in forex trading, one has to concentrate just on 4 major currency pairs and pure technical analysis. The average daily range of 104 pips for all four pairs far surpasses that of any stock trading market. Though there are risks associated with forex trading, if learned properly, there is potential for big profits. Given the vastness of this industry, there are numerous experts in this field revealing their strategies for success.

With different time zones, one can virtually do trading in 24 hours a day. Forex market never sleeps.

One important strategy of profiting from forex market is to follow technical analysis. This strategy alone predicts peaks and troughs. If one can catch a trend, this may bring in substantial profits to any forex player.
There are numerous online brokers. While selecting one, main factors to be kept under consideration are the ease of doing trading, online tutorials, instructional material, easy transfer of funds, facility of trading in major markets and currencies, expert advice, low transaction fees, flexible accounts, availability of mini accounts
etc. One has to be careful in selecting an online forex broker. He should take care of novice and professional traders alike. A new forex trader should be able to find the ease of trading and timely guidance.

Ways to Making Money Online

That is the question which hundreds of people struggling to make an income on the internet have. Over two years back when i saw the advertisements of some internet marketers making fortunes online i was attracted too. But nothing much happened then as i imagined. I made a few odd dollars here and there and reached payout and received some payments from a couple of Sites. My daily adsense earnings then were only pennies to begin with and took me ages to reach the pay out limit of $100 with adsense. Despite of the efforts put online the earnings where not worth the effort. I was only wasting my time and money. It took me some time to realize that adsense is a number game and to make a fortune one needs to have loads of content. Like most newbie’s I too thought that all I need is buy a domain and write a blog to be rich.
Majority of my earnings online went on purchasing the junks offered by Online Gurus some of which were easily available on the net for free. Most of the stuff accumulated by me did no significant improvement to my online earnings. However I also made some good choices. I also had wanted to buy stuff like home based business, surveys and ad posting sites but found it too costly. I am now happy that I did not spend money on them because some of them proved to be scam sites. There are too many quick rich schemes available in the internet and most of them are priced very high and if at all someone is making money it would be the site owner himself mostly. When someone tells you about all the money they are making on the net they mostly leave out the part about all the struggles, time and hard work they had to put in to get to where they are now. No matter what you do one need to put in time and efforts to make it a success. I wish I had someone to guide me when I started out because it took me some time to understand what needs to be done to profit from the internet.
With lots of people losing jobs and facing recession many want to make a living by working from home and building an on-line business. But most of them are looking for fast income and don't have much patience to start with. They want money without having to work for it. They fall for quick rich scams and give up once they find their efforts are not yielding much result. But the truth is that it is not difficult to make an online income even without adwords with the right product, strategy and campaign for marketing your programs.
